Should a guest have to cancel their stay for any reason, the guest must notify Landmark Vacation Rentals immediately in writing via email at: cancel@landmarkrentals.com.
- If the Guest cancels 60 days prior to their stay arrival date then they shall receive their payments back minus the reservation fee, taxes associated with the reservation fee, and any non-refundable fees associated with Travel Insurance.
- If the guest cancels 59 days or less prior to their stay arrival date, the guest shall forfeit all payments made to Landmark Vacation Rentals associated with the reservation.
Landmark Vacation Rentals will send a confirmation email letting the guest know that the cancellation notice has been received. Ultimately, the guest is responsible for verifying the cancellation notification has been received by Landmark Vacation Rentals. It is strongly advised that guests purchase Travel Insurance to protect their Vacation investment.

Big Blue #116 Cancellation Policy (effective Septermber 22, 2023)
Should Tenant have to cancel for any reason at any time prior to their arrival date, the Tenant must notify the Agent immediately in writing via email at cancel@landmarkrentals.com. Landmark Vacations, LLC will send a confirmation email to the Tenant that the cancellation notice has been received. Landmark Vacations, LLC will immediately put the Property back on the market for rent. If the Property is rented at the same rental rate and term, Landmark Vacations, LLC will refund Tenant's money less the Reservation Fees, associated taxes and any non-refundable fees associated with Travel Insurance. If the Property does not get re-rented, all advance payments by Tenant will be forfeited. It is strongly advised that the Tenant purchase Travel Insurance to protect their Vacation investment.
Cancellation Policy for Paradise #169 (effective July 1, 2024)

Red Sky Travel Insurance
Landmark Vacation Rentals partners with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide our guests with the option of protecting their vacation investment with Trip Preserver® coverage. Trip Preserver provides trip insurance, emergency assistance and travel services in case of hurricane evacuations and family emergencies, such as illness or death in the family. The cost of Red Sky Travel Insurance is 6.95% of your total rent. This amount will be indicated on your lease. Once selected, the fee is due with your first payment and is non-refundable.
Be advised that under Section 42A-36 of the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act (NCVRA), when under order of mandatory evacuation, the Tenant is not entitled to a refund from the Owner if prior to taking possession of the Property the Tenant refused travel insurance offered to them that would have compensated them for losses or damages resulting from loss of use of the Property due to a mandatory evacuation order.
We strongly urge you to consider this insurance when planning your Topsail Island vacation. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR HURRICANE EVACUATIONS. IF TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE WAS PURCHASED, GUESTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO START THE PROCESS OF RECEIVING A REFUND. REFUNDS ARE NOT PROVIDED BY LANDMARK FOR TRIP INTERRUPTION DUE TO HURRICANES.
